Visited New Quilt Fabric Shop

Well, friends, yesterday David saw a little ad, then article of a quilt fabric shop that opened last year in April in a small town in Oklahoma, Beggs, OK.....you blink and you're already thru the town.  So you know me, Obsessive Compulsive Fabric Horder that I am.  Had to go.  I had a day and a half left on my vacation, so with me starting to travel next week, I thought what the heck, I am going to take a half day vacation and David and I drove to the shop this afternoon.  Grannie Annie's Quilt Fabric Shop.  It was only about 20 minutes south of our house.  Tiny strip mall went in and were greeted by the owner and her daughter. Very nice people, we visited and visited, David had a great time.  There was a customer there, 89 years old, drove there in her truck, looked a picture of health, said she attributes it to walking a mile everyday.  We had a great time talking to her.....I finallyt said, hey I'm here to buy fabric.  Now she has only been in business since April 2010, wonderful shop, her daughter helped her decorate it they did an excellent job.  Great fabrics, all prices.  I finally decided on some fat quarters and a baby quilt kit.  She mostly sells Moda, Maywood, etc.  I am not really a Civil War fabric person, but I did find some prints that read solid.  We really enjoyed ourselves.  David didn't know he could have so much fun in a fabric shop......it was a great day.I will have to take a picture of my fabrics that I bought...it was a fun day!
